Enjoy a season-long display of fragrant pink blooms with 'Angelface Wedgwood Pink' Summer Snapdragon, a heat and drought-tolerant annual that requires no dead-heading. |
Often called Summer Snapdragon because of her flowers’ resemblance to that earlier bloomer, this upright, sprawling “thriller” makes a great container plant or full-sun garden addition when spaced 9’-12’ apart to give her enough room to thrive. Angelonia doesn’t bloom until the full heat of summer is on, but boy, does she ever put on a show once conditions are right! This tall, colorful beauty also smells great - a bit like apples - and makes long-lasting, high-impact cut flowers while still being easy to grow and generally unfussy. We love a low-maintenance queen!
|
Pros
Tall, colorful, and dramatic Doesn’t require staking Doesn’t require deadheading Drought-tolerant Fragrant foliage
|
Cons
Prefers hot, sunny conditions (not a shade plant!) Likes warm nights so, be patient or will need protection if planted early
This plant is probably not winter-hardy outdoors where you live.
